My mother is 68 years young. Overall, she used to be in very good spirits with lots of energy. Recently she developed sharp twinges that travel up and down her right arm. Her doctor told her to stop taking zocor. She has 3 weeks ago, but the pain is getting worse. Today she is now complaining of the same pain, but it's worse adn sharper, as well as the same pain in her neck area, These occur at the same time and last for hours.
Any ideas? She has tried ben gay, heating pad, ice, aleve and nothing helps.
She has this pain now daily.
Her doctor did several blood tests but we won't know the results for about 6 weeks.
How do I know when to take her to the ER?
