Instead of saying put to sleep, shelters need to say KILLED. I think that would get the point across to many people. We say KILLED at our shelter. You'd be surprised how many people see this in a different light. I think that you need to call this what it is. At our shelter, I'm always amazed on how the child becomes allergic to the cat when she becomes pregnant.

My dog's favorite toy is me because I'm fun to be around. His second favorite toy is his retrieving dummy.

Oh I had this lady adopted a cat from me. Told her she MUST keep her separate from her other animals for a couple weeks as it takes this cat a while to adjust.

Get a phone call 24hrs later from her freaking out. Apparently she allowed the cat to meet her zoo. Dogs, cats, ferrets, and small children. ALL AT ONCE and the cat was hiding under a chair not allowing anyone to touch her.

I was so pissed. Fine, bring the cat back to me but to stress her out like that? FUCK OFF. I just wanted to rip this lady's head off....


My dog hates toys, she loves snow though!
 
Well don't work in a shelter if you don't want to deal with those types of people. After all, they're trying to put them in a shelter versus letting them loose in the street. I would do you job and take the dog.

My dog loves to play tug of war with towels.

Two don't care about toys & the last one, well, any thing will do.
 
We once had a lady come in and surrender her two Russian Blue cats because they redecorated and the cats no longer "went" with the new sofa. She wanted to know if we had a pair of pure white cats she could adopt instead. Obviously she was sent away empty-handed.

My dogs are great fans of Bully Sticks, the Leo toys, and anything that squeaks.

I was volunteering once and a woman was getting hid of her elderly cat because she kept peeing on her chair... So sad :(

My dog loves to chew a stuffed dog I got for Valentine's Day and my pink flip flop. But only the right one and never any other color.

I had a woman turn her Rottweiler into the pound because she didn't realize that how big male rottweilers got. Want a disgusting woman.
