This is a repost with more detail to my problem.
I have a 2002 Honda Civic EX Auto Trans. When the car is in Park there is a clicking/popping sound in my shift knob. I can feel something is moving.
Yet when I press brake or when the car is in reverse, neutral, drive, or any gear..this doesn't happen. Car drives fine and no slip on transmission, I have been driving this car for more than 6 months.
I believe the problem is from the Shift interlock mechanism, something is triggering the shift interlock mechanism automatically and continuously which explain the clicking sound.
I want to know if anyone know how to fix this problem and if possible quote me
Thanks for your help.
