but basically he says japan mma is better because they always try and finish the fight not like america wrestling lay n pray type fights. i gotta say theres been an increasingly number of fights like that... and yes it can be boring. this is the fastes growing sport and mma is in a way of change right now... fitch says the gaurd is dead as well and i believe him. mma is changing and things that were effective back then arnt as effective right now. like pulling guard.. what the heck are you gonna do in guard?? unless you pull off a sub that's your only hope and now days everyone has a good level of bjj so it issent as effective as royce gracie made it seem back then against ppl who new nothing of the art... . those bjjers who like conbtolling from the bottom are just taking dinks to the head while hoping to pull off a sub and if not they lose...a wrestler love that. also it doessent matter your striking level if u cant keeo the fight standing and even if you get taken dwn when they get back up and are more tired and what not.... it seems wrestlings dominating unfortunately over any style. me personally i dont have a problem with it as long as you work. look at chael sonnen, that's a hell of a wrestler, diego sanchez, clay guida urijah faber ect they work! but i have to say shinya is sick of american style mma and is afraid mainstream fans will be if this keep up... me personally will always love mma but it is becoming very wrestling's lately
