Should a child be reprimanded for saying jesus christ?

The child is not from a religious background and is in an educational setting.
It is a public school
 
It's important for Christians to insist that all children in their presence,even children from non-Christian families, not break the Ten Commandments.
 
only if he was taking the Lord's name in vain. otherwise he said someone's name, like saying molly or susan.
 
Why make a big deal out of it? I'd say "Jesus Christ? He died for our sins." then show the boy pictures and give them a history lesson on the Real jesus christ.

Punishing that child will only reinforce the idea that saying JC like that will elicit a response from adults...and be very funny for him.
 
Of course not. If the child is being generally disruptive than any child should be reprimanded and taught that this type of behavior is unacceptable.
