Cerberus bought Chrysler Given Cerberus's track record does it make sense to just give them our money so they can pocket it then close Chrysler? Cerberus bought troubled retailer Mervyn"s. It then stripped off all Mervyn's valuable assets moving them to the parent company. Once this was completed, they declared bankruptcy, stiffing all the suppliers and employees. Given their business model, can we expect they will simply pocket the bailout money then close down Chrysler.

Missed the last sentence..stripped the assets and then declared bankruptcy stiffing suppliers and employees

No they should not. If they do, people should not buy Chrysler. If you don't pay taxes, prison is the end result, so it's not anyone's fault they are forced to pay their money to a failed company, but don't willingly give Chrysler your money. They are traitors who bypassed your choice and went to the government and got that "pay or go to prison" money.

>> Actually, even if they didn't get the money, they already breached their relationship with Americans. It's too late, they asked for the money.

The bailout money is a favor to the UAW. Notice that GM is considering a Chapter 11 filing which is weekend news.
