I dont want to sound uncool or w/e but i dont really care, i see this as a huge problem

Psychologists are pointing to the root causes of most problems in society today such as the individualism, racism, nationalism, arrogance, selfishness etc
to Hollywood, music industries, video games etc.

If you examine the filth coming in from such sources is it possible the reason there is so much crime, and hatred is because of the media. The media distributes information biase most of the time, it creates opinions the same way Germany did in ww2 the same way ours did before Iraq.

The TV is like your best friend, if he tells you enough time to kill someone many will eventually do it. Entertainment businesses label filth as Art, pornography violent shows and games, rap culture, rock culture all these things are influencing kids and adults someway some how.

Why is it the media and entertainment are allowed free reign over the hearts and minds of so many. Are you okay with your neighbor, kids, friends being exposed to so much rhetoric? Should these things be monitors as science and psychology learn more about human tendencies shouldn’t we change our entertainment for the better?

For one thing, since when does individualism become listed as a problem? And another thing, it's not the fault of the entertainment industry that people can't distinguish the real world from the movies...

Some things are just a necessary evil. Sure, we COULD live in a society where everyone and everything is uniform and perfect. But would it be worth giving up your culture, your art, your music? And who decides what is and isn't acceptable. We are all humans, and so we all have biases.

And if you take a real close look, you'll notice that racism and hate in the West has decreased quite a bit, even though Hollywood has increased it's influence over us.
Over the years, it's always been SOMETHING that;s destroying our society:

First, it was Jazz music that was blamed for all of society's problems. Jazz music apparently made black people go on a white-woman-raping binge.

Then, it was Elvis and his hip-thrusting ways that was turning our teenaged girls into sex-crazed maniacs.

Then, rock music was supposed to turn our kids into Satanists.

Next we have rap music, which glorifies gun violence and sex.

Now we've got violent video games that are turning teenagers into gun-toting killing machines.

What do these all have in common? None of them did what people thought they would do to our society.

Is the media holding a gun to your head, forcing you to watch? Didn't think so.

Parents should monitor what their kids watch, it's not the media's job to babysit for them. Besides, for every person who is "screwed up" because of the media, there are dozens of normal, well-adjusted people.

If you don't like it don't watch it. You have a choice.

Should it be banned? No! Nobody should get to decide what the rest of us can and can't watch.

You know who would approve of such an oppressive idea? The Taliban.

you're absolutely right. lets get rid of everything.

dude, if they were gone, we would kill each other for money. we would hate each other because we piss each other off. we would destroy because it is are nature. the only way for you to possibly be right is if we were born perfect. the only thing that would be accomplished is getting rid of many, many art and cultural outlets.

tell me, if we banned this filth, and i said something filthy, would i to be destroyed?
