i found a stray cat the other week and am considering adopting it, its a 7 year old male and the only reason the owners abandoned it was because he had gingivitis. i kept him at my house for the night before going to a shelter and he was well behaved and extrememly nice but i'm a full time college student and i work so i dunno if i'm too busy to have a cat. my friend said because hes older he'll mostly take care of himself and i basically have to leave water and food out and i have a brother who is home most of the time. is it too much to take care of a cat i feel bad if i wont be home to take care of it or give it as much as attention as i expect i need to. advice?
