should i ask for an itouch for my birthday?

I was thinking about asking my parents for an itouch for my birthday as I don’t want or need anything else. They got my brother an itouch for his birthday, and hes 9. But i dunno if they will let me get one. Because i asked my dad for one not long ago and he said i was the first person to get 2 ipods, a shuffle and a nano 3rd gen and because they play the music no differently, we have a couple of ipods in the house;
Shuffe
Nano 3rd gen
Nano 6th gen
Itouch 2nd gen
Itouch 4th gen

So i really wanna 4th gen itouch, but my dad said he doesn’t really wanna get me one. But since i don’t want anything else for my bday, should i ask? Or atleast my mum?

I also want a ds but the same deal, we have a wii and a ps2 so my dad says they have the same games and they do the same thing. But my mum thinks its a good idea for a ds, because not only do they have games, they have brain trainers and teasers. But my dad talks her out of it.
If you think i shouldn’t then what should an 11 year old get? I was thinking karaoke machine, but my parents don’t know i sing, and im too shy to sing, but i like to in my room. We have singstar on ps2 but thats all.
