should i be upset about my boyfriend going on vacation?

my boyfriend and i have been going out since june. we're both 21 years old. every year he goes on about four vacations a year with his family. he goes to school in tennessee and i'm up in new york, so i do not see him that often. him and his family (extended family, 20+) are all going on vacation right after christmas for a week. he is going back to school right after the vacation, so the last day i will see him is christmas day. should i be upset that he is choosing to go on vacation instead of staying home with me? again, i do not see him that often seeing that he goes to school hours away. i'm not dying for him to invite me on this vacation since i really don't care if i go...i'm just a little upset that he's deciding to go instead of staying home with me knowing that he will not see me again until february. is this normal? should i be upset?

its normal to be upset, i can understand why, but it sounds like his family vavcations are tradional or routine, so dont be offended its not your or his doing.
 
Well maybe you should go with him, if you really like him.
otherwise no you should not be upset, he has a right to go with his family, its probably a tradition.
 
don't be upset.. talk with him about it and tell him that you only have only some days to meet.. tell him, let's have fun in this short period since i won't see u again until after a month..

and maybe be honest with him and tell him how you feel about it!

if you get upset, then something bad may happen.. so take it easy and enjoy your time :)
 
My sweet boy, you need to find a man that is going to teat you like you desrve, I am sure yall love each other, but there is a limit to being treated like ****! If he always chooses his family over you, then yes, you should be upset. In a relationship the kids then partner come first, not the parents! I am thinking he's doing more than staying with mommy and daddy on his 'vacations.' do yourself a favor and leave him before you get hurt worse.
