I am looking to buy a Samsung Captivate, and it's basically free if I am upgrading my service. In the store it will cost me $199, but I know they give me 30 days to exchange or return if I use it and don't like it. Through Amazon Marketplace it seems like you have to have a completely new unused phone in order to return. So if I get a defect or just hate the phone, I'm stuck.
Do you think it is worth the lack of exchange/return?
Also, do you think buying phone handset insurance would help protect me, if I buy it at the same time and pay for a month or two just to make sure it isn't defective, then maybe discontinue that service?
