Should i buy an old porsche Boxster with very low mileage?

Hi. Ive always wanted to own a Porsche Boxster. They have now kind of come into my price range and I am debating getting one. There are a number of what appear to be well looked after cars being sold on the autotrader for around the £8000 price. They are all around 12 years old but have less than 40,000 on the clock. If this can be varifed my theory is they've basically been used as weekend cars and have very low milage and plenty of life left in them. Would like to hear people opinions on this. Is buying an older car with low milage a good idea? If not why not?
