Should i buy gta iv for the ps3?

I bought Red Dead Redemption and the story mode was the best i've ever seen. But i was a little dissapointed on the free roam (not online) theres really nothing to do the cops are easy to kill and the deadeye system is overpowered is GTA IV worth it? Is it fun to crash cars and jump off buildings and stuff or does it suck like RDR?
