...Discovery Channel DVD edition? The BBC blu-ray has been on sale for $60 at Best Buy and I'm just curious if it would be a waste of money if I "upgraded." I heard that the BBC narration is better and that the BBC edition includes about an hour of extra footage that was edited out of the US edition.
Also, This is kind of a silly question, but is the picture quality of the blu-ray a considerable improvement over the dvd? (I heard parts of Planet Earth was filmed in standard definition.)
Depends on how I look at it?
I have a 46" Samsung 1080p LCD and use a PS3 for my blu-ray player.
But based on the picture quality and (possible) additional content on the BBC version, would it be worth it to spend another $60 on this documentary?
