Should i change my psp 3000 for 2000???????

Im asking this because it seems for me, that it is impossible to hack it! I've found a way to do it but i just cant find what i need (wich is gripshift umd) so a friend of mine is trading his psp 2000 for my 3000 in the same conditions but i dont know what to do please helppppp!

I know psp 3000 is way better!
 
if you know the 3000 is way better, then why trade it for something worse. that like trading a ps3 for a ps2. it makes no sense.
