I had a nasty encounter the other day with a low-level manager who wanted me to perform duties of someone else (that requested time off and that she would've had to cover).
When I refused, citing my already full workday, she began to berate me by saying things such as: Aren't you even a human being? Can't you even do this for another human being?! I'm your boss! Do you know what your job is? Whatever I TELL YOU YOUR JOB IS! Im so MAD at YOU right now! I can write you up (a negative note added to employee file) any time I want!
She then LEFT AND came back with the "write up," which I refused to sign and was sent home.
Do I have a complaint for her taking it personally and being so threatening?
Even if I refuse a legitimate request, (which I still feel it was not), aren't management required to remain professional and not get personal in a situation like this?
Thanks!
