My brother sent me an email in February of 2007 telling me that I had been disowned and was no longer allowed to have contact with my maternal family. I was disowned b/c my Mother told a terrible lie during one of her manic episodes. It has since been made public that she lied on me. Even though everyone knows now, the only person in my family that has contact with me is my brothers fiance. I have tried and tried to make amends, but I'm still ignored. Considering my Mother was proved to be lying, I don't understand why no one would want to talk to me. My family keeps up with what's going on in my life through my future sister-in-law. It's very frustrating and hard for me to continue behaving this way. Should I just cut contact completely?
