should I forget about this guy?

I really like this guy but he doesnt know it. We go to different schools so I never get to see him. He's pretty shy, we went to the movies over the summer but havent done anything since then. I have asked him to the movies a couple other times but he was busy. He gets nervous whenever he sees me. I haven't talked to him in a couple months.
I was wondering if I should ask him to a movie or just move on. If you have any advice please tell me
