My guinea pig is feeling lonely! She's very happy but I want to make her happier! (She's not very social I thought about getting her a friend my dad thought it was a bad idea at first I thought it was just an excuse to not get me something I really wanted, but he asked this guy from his work (That's knows almost everything about guinea pigs) he saw my guinea pigs picture and said it a certain type of guinea pig I forgot but he said:
Yes: She would feel better and it's better that guinea pigs live in pairs or packs.
No:If the guinea pig would have a disease it would kill the the other one with its disease and it's self.If it was the wrong gender of what the pet store said my current guinea pig would get pregnant and maybe die.This is the worst though my fellow guinea pig won't get along with the new female baby and I will feel bad that I put my guinea pig in that situation.
Solution:I could get a cage divider to stop any fighting spreading of disease and she couldn't get pregnant.
But it was my first guinea pigs would that be fair if I took half of it away from her?
