Should I get a Nintendo 3ds xl or a Nintendo dsi xl?

My friend got me hooked on the pokemon games for the ds and I would really like to play them. Which pokemon games should I play too.

i would go with the dsi XL.. the 3d sucks and it takes different games than the dsi and ds.. just keep that in mind.

Might as well get the 3DS. You can play the Pokemon games the DS has and play the new ones, X and Y, coming out.

(if you have one) get the Nintendo DSI XL! my friend has it and it does everything! its probably the best. my other friend had the Nintendo 3DS XL and it absolutely sucks! the graphics are crappier than actual crap! the 3d sucks too. i hated it! get the dsi xl. you'll be glad! hope i helped! have a wonderful time! ^ ^

Preferably I would suggest purchasing the 3DS XL. 3DS CAN PLAY ANY DS (IT MUST BE FROM THE SAME REGION)

There is a new pokemon game coming out for the 3DS this fall. It's called Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.

My suggestions:
Pokemon Heartgold or Soulsilver
Pokemon Plantimun
Pokemon Diamond or Pearl
Any Pokemon Myster Dungeon game for the DS system
