I have a dyna and it isnt fast enough. should i have 2 bikes (add a cbr600) or trade in for a Vrod?

i've had 4 vrods, and 2 cbr 600's

liked the vrods much more... but that was only by my preference, yours may be different. if you like the dyna styling and ride and comfort, im guessing youll like the vrod more too

I would get the second bike. I have a few myself and while it sucks paying the 5 total registrations every year (actually every other year for the bikes) to the DMV, it is nice to have the right tool for the job.

One more word for the wise, the v-rod may make comparable performance numbers to a 600cc sportbike but real world track experience says they lose every quarter mile race to the 600's I have seen. Power to weight is the real performance number, any fool who says otherwise is wrong.

I've seen some sick V Rods on the street with surprising power but you'll have to make it into that. It would be a head turner. Sounds like you have a war chest built up. Buy what yas likes.

Define fast enough..do want a track bike? Are you just racing red lights? Do you want to go 165 mph? If you want all that go buy a sport bike. If you just want a little more up grade the dyna or buy a vrod. I don't have 2 bikes because on inevitablely gets neglected.

Well, the 600 will be uncomfortable to ride after an hour but is of course very fast and agile. The Vrod is very expensive and not really that fast and not very agile, but you could probably sit on it for a while.

Decide what you want to do on a bike. Decide the one bike that can do it all, add insurance. Now decide what two bikes will cost including insurance.

Why I have a VFR and a DRZ, sport touring and dual sport, about covers it for me. A BMW GS would have done it all, and I had one, but I wanted a lay down sport tourer and a lighter off road.

Why not work up the dyna??? Will be ALOT cheaper than buying another bike.....
Mine isn't ALL that....BUT it's an 04 FXDX, still 88", but well over 100hp/100ft lb torque...for an 88", it is quick, it's geared low, not a HIGH top speed, but it gets up there, real quick and will lift the front wheel with ease. you can get way more than that out of a bigger motor......easily.

what year and model dyn do you have???...can give you some good ideas on what to do with it.

If you really want another bike...no one can tell you what to get, that is up to you? It depends on what you want out of the bike.

If you are serious about the V-Rod...email me and I can tell you what to have done to REALLY make it turn on.

I'd go for the sport bike if you like speed. I have a 650 Kawasaki Ninja and it can fly. Have fun.
