to be honest go for option 1. riding a 125cc for a good few months and then to go to a superbike is no joke. i did the same. i rode a 50cc two stroke and then whent to 400cc, then 600cc and will probably go to 1000cc in a year or so... as you get more experienced so does the hunger for bigger and faster bikes.

hope it helps, be safe and always wear protective gear.

What I mean is, like a 125cc motorbike, you get it to upgrade after a year or so.
I want a 600cc very soon, after winter is over. But I ain't sure which option to go for?

1. Buy a cheap Naked 600cc like a Bandit for £1500, then after a year or so, upgrade to like a 05 Ninja 600 or 03 + CBR 600

2. Get my 'dream' motorbike straight away, a Ninja or CBR, maybe R6 for around £3000, I'll be scared to ride it for the first few months, but I'd be the only 18 year old riding a Superbike in my town :)

Whats your experience, what did you do?
I am experienced on a 125cc for a good few months now, and I love motorbikes! The second the ice is gone, I am back!

This all really depends on you mate, if you genuinely feel comfortable on a 125 and can handle it, then I would say just go for the 600. If that is your choice then take it easy for a few months, just getting used to the weight and considerable power difference. But if you honestly think you could use a bit more practice on the 125 then get that, a bike is really dangerous vehicle mate, there is no reason to reason to ride outside of your comfort zone.

Personally when I got my license I went straight to 600cc, but I also had considerable experience on a 250cc two stroke, and other powerful bikes. So it was not a major leap for me.
