Should I get the Blackberry Bold 9930 for Verizon?

I've read many different reviews of the phone, some are saying the phone is great, others are saying it is really bad. All I mainly do is text (but not that much) some reviews said the phone slows down, and the touch screen stops working after a couple of weeks.

I was also wondering what the price of the data pack is. I heard its $10, but others have said $30.
