daughter misses since they broke up? My daughter is seven years old and she has really had a difficult time with the break-up of her dad and his girlfriend, 12 years younger than him. Yeh. My daughter has told me that the ex-girlfriend is much like me, laid-back, fun, crafty, into nature, easy-going, etc. Although i have not gotten a divorce yet, my husband and i have been separated for well over a year. This other relationship lasted about 9months or so and this ex-gf was literally with my daughter every time my child visited her father. Hence, the attachment.
The younger girl caught on to the nacissistic ways of my husband, i would imagine, because she dumped him. It was a wise move on her part as he was trying to get back with me while dating her.
I never met or saw this girl but my daughter has always wanted me to meet her and says i will really like her. I would like to do that actually and i feel bad that she experienced the ways of my husband. I don't know if she would want to be friends or keep in contact with my child but with my husband out of the picture ... is it okay to contact her and at least thank her for being so good to my daughter and offer her friendship?
