Should I open the Death Note cards or keep them in the pack?

They're not any special cards or anything, just a deck of playing cards (like poker, solitaire, etc) with Death Note characters on them. I bought them in a touristy place in Nanjing today for 10 kuai and they come in a little case and are wrapped in plastic.
So, probably showing my inner nerd here, should I open the Death Note cards or leave them wrapped in the plastic?
