Should I tell my parents that i cheated on a test/ quiz?

Being a freshman in high school I cheated for the first time on a Keyboarding class quiz, I know it wasn't the smartest thing to do, and now i feel guilty. The quiz was to list all the letters on the keyboard in the way they are arranged. I didn't know too many, so i pulled out my phone and started using that on the second row, she came up behind me and asked how i was doing, and saw me trying to hide my phone. So she took my quiz away (she's a very nice teacher, always happy, even after she caught me. But of course, she HAS to be fair to the students). My grade went from an A to a B. And on my online grades it says "*cheated: student pulled out phone to use keyboard on a keyboarding quiz".. my parents never check my grades online though. So should i tell them?
OH! and is it possible that this will show up on a college application?!..

Thanks!

Definitely do not tell your parents. never admit to cheating. either don't cheat anymore or get better at cheating so you don't get caught. if you tell your parents, you will regret telling them for the rest of your life.

I'd say it's worth telling them. They'll appreciate your honesty and perhaps see that you feel bad about it and don't intend to do it again. The problem is that although they may not check online, they may end up speaking to your teachers one day in person, and if they find out from a teacher instead of from you directly they may take it very badly.
