Should I watch accel world anime?

I've been watching Sword Art Online and heard that they take place in the same universe sort of...
Is that true?

I read some reviews and ppl have said that it is frustrating to watch (???) (especially the first couple of episodes)... I'm wondering if this is true and if it will ruin the rest of the series.

Yes. Accel World takes place in the 'future' of Sword Art Online. Both anime have the same original author for their light novels. The technology developments and background information is linked but none of the characters overlap due to there being a like a 20 year gap between the two.

Not really. SAO overall is more frustrating to watch due to the studio adapting the dumbest side-stories possible making it a weak anime.
