True story, no messing around: I saw a Telstra (an Australian telecom company) advert on the TV, with a man behaving incompetently and his wife smiling in a superior way. The theme of the advert was "Switch over to Telstra".
I sent Telstra an email to say that it is usually the men men who choose the telephone company for their home, and their advert had put me off Telstra permanently. I got an apologetic email back and the advert was withdrawn.
