I've heard 2003 volkswagen passat has a censor that tosses the check on light on every 3000 miles to remind you to change your oil. I just got this car 3 months ago, and they changed my oil before i drove off. Im about 75 miles away from hitting my exact 3k miles mark, and assume they probably changed the oil as soon as they got it. So im assuming this was from test drives and what not. So my question is, Is the Check Engine light supposed to be on? If so, how can i manually reset it myself? If not, ugh oh.
