Ask an Australian about this, after rabbits were introduced there and cost them BILLIONS of dollars.
While they are not actually rodents, they are legally classified as pests in the UK, and I believe other places, as well. They need to be control because they breed like.........rabbits! I just read where in many places they are costing farmers 4000 pounds a year on average.
Rabbit fever has been a problem in the US also.
I think hunting and trapping and eating of rabbits should be encouraged. They are very good fried.
Edit: If the population is negligible, then why the outrage about hunting? I find many articles about the damage they cause, but haven't linked to any articles stating reasons they should not be exterminated from their non-natural habitat? Do you have links?
For years rabbits have been see as crop destroyers and vermin to be hunted poisoned and shot by uncaring individuals is it time to protect these sweet harmless creatures from the blood lust of hunting ?
farmers are always coming this arable farm nonsense about rabbits but the truth is since myxy was introduced the rabbit population has been negligible , i think its just this idea they have that if thier not blasting rabbits they are not adering to a traditional farmers image .
im sorry but when i saw this question and your name "no soul" i started laughing anyways... yes i love bunnys, dam you hunters how can you kill such cute animals.
Don't be ridiculous...there are millions of them, if they weren't culled in some way, we'd be over-run by them. Hares, on the other hand are relatively scarce and should not be hunted.
