should we let religion stop homosexuals from getting married?

well my mom was talking to me about the disscusion that she had in school and it got e thinking if theyre are laws saying that we need to keep church and government seperate then why cant gays get married. i mean there is no way for them to win if you have congress try to pass it then the christians will vote against it and if you give it to a puublic vote then once again religion overpowers the rights of man and if that man wants to love another man than i dont think he should be judged. how can you say that god forgives all sinners and loves all people but then contradict yourself when you say that homosexuals will go to hell. how can it be a sin to love somone. i mean even though im only fifteen i think im a lot more open minded than a lot of people twice my age.
just think about it
 
whatever you believe religion wise, it can not be proven.
so i say keep your beliefs to your own life, if someone else does not believe the same as you then it's up to them and for that reason legal matters and religion should not mix.
