For the purposes of this ranking, we are dealing with only players eligible at Center in Yahoo formats. There’s a real debate between Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns moving forward. Davis is obviously a stud, but he remains a major injury risk. Towns has been the No. 3 player over the past two weeks and is 20 years old. If I were starting a franchise, I’d pick Towns over AD. That’s a statement that would’ve seemed insane six months ago, when Jahlil Okafor was the debate versus KAT. Towns is the real deal and should be viewed as a top-five commodity in dynasty leagues.
TIER ONE
1. Anthony Davis
2. DeMarcus Cousins
3. Karl-Anthony Towns
4. Paul Millsap
5. Hassan Whiteside
6. Al Horford
7. Rudy Gobert
8. Chris Bosh
9. Pau Gasol
10. Kevin Love
Boogie has the second-highest Usage Rate (33.5) in the NBA, behind only Russell Westbrook. Sacramento also has the No. 1 Pace in the NBA, which is a pretty good combo....Millsap remains one of the more underrated players in sports...Whiteside has been a bigger help in blocks than any other player in any other category, but he’s currently dealing with an injury...Gobert has been a disappointment, but he’s now back to health and should be treated as a top-25 player moving forward.
TIER TWO
11. Derrick Favors
12. Brook Lopez
13. Kristaps Porzingis
14. Nikola Vucevic
15. Marc Gasol
16. Marcin Gortat
17. Greg Monroe
18. Serge Ibaka
19. LaMarcus Aldridge
20. Nerlens Noel
21. Ryan Anderson
22. Dirk Nowitzki
Favors has dealt with an injury (in which he’s recently returned from), but he’s been a top-25 player on a per-game basis...Porzingis has been the biggest revelation in the league. He’s legit...After being a top-20 player in each of the past four seasons, Ibaka hasn’t been top-170 over the last two weeks, as he’s been one of the bigger busts so far in 2015/16...Noel has averaged 9.1 rpg, 1.6 spg and 2.3 bpg while shooting 60.7 percent from the floor over the past month, when he’s been a top-25 player...Anderson is officially back, while Nowitzki has been a top-30 player at age 37 while seeing only 30.4 mpg.
TIER THREE
23. Andre Drummond
24. Dwight Howard
25. DeAndre Jordan
26. Gorgui Dieng
27. Jonas Valanciunas
28. Myles Turner
30. Tim Duncan
31. Zaza Pachulia
32. Jahlil Okafor
33. Zach Randolph
34. Willie Cauley-Stein
35. Al Jefferson
36. Taj Gibson
The first three here all come down to format, as they have major value if you punt FT%. To be clear, Drummond is shooting 29.3 percent from the charity stripe over the past month, which is epic stuff...Dieng looks likely to finally get a real shot at playing time, so he’s going to be a major difference maker down the stretch for those who’ve held onto him...Turner looks like a future star. He needs to be owned in all leagues right now...Yes, I’d prefer Turner over Okafor....WCS looks like someone who might not be a bust...It’s crazy that Jefferson was the No. 6 ranked fantasy player in 2011/12...Gibson is a sure add in all fantasy leagues with all the injuries in Chicago’s frontcourt.
TIER FOUR
35. Amir Johnson
36. Kenneth Faried
37. Nikola Jokic
38. Andrew Bogut
39. Jared Sullinger
40. Enes Kanter
41. Robin Lopez
42. Ian Mahinmi
43. Mason Plumlee
44. Blake Griffin
45. Alex Len
46. Tristan Thompson
47. Frank Kaminsky
48. Roy Hibbert
49. Meyers Leonard
50. Kelly Olynyk
51. Bobby Portis
52. Boban Marjanovic
It would be nice if there was clarity in Boston’s frontcourt...Jokic has struggled badly with shots inside the paint....Griffin is ranked here with the expectation he misses at least the next two months. If you can afford to keep him then please do...Free Boban!
