ok Im one of three altos, and while I was hoping I could go through this month with out using to much vocals because right now I am temporary deaf in my left ear, and my right ear is messed up too and I can not tell for the life of me what to sing, I can't tell the pitches or the volume I am singing at, and while ussually I could make it through a month kinda quietly, this month I got a part in"Diamonds are a girls Best Friend," where no altos sing. literally none. lol Im ussually the one who sings it all.

Ok Basic question if your too lazy to read!
I am half deaf currently is there any tips to help me know pitches and volume?
Thank you Lola, Ill see if I can :) I'll do anything to save the altos XD

I do not see how you got a part for a soprano if you are having all these problems. You probably need to excuse yourself from this production until your ears have time to resume normalcy. If you can't hear properly you will not be singing properly

Make sure you warm up well.
Sit at the piano and plunk out the notes in your range. As a friend with perfect pitch to sit by you and let you know when you are on pitch and if your volume is adequate. About 30mins a day should be enough.
As your choir director for more assistance too.
