Sky New Internet Bad With CoD5?

Yesterday we got our new Sky 16Meg broadband with a replacement to our BT broadband.

We are downloading at about 180kbps is this good?

But when i play CoD5 on my Playstation 3 the connection isn't the best.

I am somtimes getting yellow connection bars which causes a little lag but is still anoying.

Can anyone help?

I also was told that after you get sky broadband they do stuff to it over like 2 weeks or somthing.

It says i can download at 916kbps but how?
I can download at 1600kbps
 
use speedtest

and see whats your true internet speed.

anything over 2meg should be good.

also if you are using wi-fi, it is not very good.
 
That speed sounds slow to me, I would expect better from a broadband connection but it could also be limited by where your downloading from... you can test and compare your connection speed on this website

Well this could be a couple things.. It might be because the person that your playing with on CoD 5 is really far away or they have a bad connection or something, or it could be because you have to many devices connected onto your internet which slows the whole thing down..

And if you want to play online sometime add my psn
