My boyfriend has an Android tablet and 97% of the time, the app only allows us to video chat for roughly 27 minutes. I've spent extensive time on the Skype support pages and I cannot find a definitive answer to why this is a problem. I've only been able to find posts from other Android users saying that this is also a problem for them. This doesn't happen ALL of the time but it is the case more often than not. And it doesn't matter what time we're talking. It can be in the middle of the night or in the peak of the afternoon. We're both connected to WiFi. I'm chatting from a laptop. And when our 27 minutes are up, the call freezes, Skype says there's a problem with the call and then I get the alert saying that he's offline. Basically, the app doesn't just drop the call, it kicks him off completely. He has a D2 Tablet (Model D2-711_BK). It's a new tablet. And it's not the best buy, but it was a gift from his Mother for Christmas, so I'm not giving him any hell for that. (haha)
I haven't been able to get any answers from Skype OR the tablet manufacturers. Can someone PLEASE help? It's extremely irritating to have to keep signing back in every half hour.
