For the last few weeks my laptop is getting slower and slower when I am trying to use the internet. It is painful to watch it creeping along. I have to refresh the pages several times before it connects otherwise I just get the "Cannot connect..." error. I am attached with the cable and am not trying to use my laptop wireless.
Even though I have a valid IP address and internet connection (at the moment!) I can't ping my IP address: Request timed out.
I am using a HP Pavilion dv1000. The Specs:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
Intel(R) Pentium(R) M
processor1.73GHz
795 MHz, 0.99GB of RAM
Any tricks you know of that will make my internet connection faster???
