Small bump on left side of pelvis//?

I've had this small pea bump underneath my skin for about 2 months on the left side of my pelvis. It has gotten smaller and its pretty hard. Whats the chance that this is cancer and do I really need to go see a doctor. Its not dark or anything from the outside the skin is the same just you can see a bump. My sister says its pro bally a cyst but I don't know.
