I'm installing Snow Leopard 10.6.3 retail dvd that I bought from Bestbuy. I'm trying to install it on my 2006 MacBook Pro. The installation went smoothly until it said less then a minute remaining, after the minute went by it said -1 Minute remaining. At first I thought it was normal until it says now -17 Minutes remaining after 17 minutes went by after it first said -1 minute remaining. I looked online but found no results. Has anyone else encountered this and if you did please help me!

Me too. I've waited until it reached minus 5 hours and still no luck. I'm going to try a deeper formatting (erase) option and try again. After I erase it completely, I'm going to run a check on the drive itself. I'll save this page and post results tomorrow. If you have a solution please post here. Thanks.
