So my iPad broke what do I do without clearing all my apps and loosing...

...all my class notes and my journal? Whenever I open Safari it says "CONNECTING" it won't say anything else.
It says it when I am at the store, at home, at school.
It will not connect.
I got a google app.
BUT
Safari has a bunch of bookmarks I need
How do I fix it without clearing all my other apps?

You could clear Cache/Cookies/History (doing so won't affect your bookmarks). Then, activate the Debug Console and see if it shows something.

If nothing listed above helps, you may want to jailbreak your ipad, get a file system manager (such as iPhone Browser) and manually back-up all you bookmarks.
After that, restore you iPad using iTunes and put all the bookmarks back. Thus, you will have a working Safari with all the stuff you saved.
