Did anyone hear about this? Search for this on Youtube: Copyright Alert System Launches - To Scare Pirates? I think Yahoo will cut off the link or something.

Does this also apply to my Bintube Usenet Reader? It's a Newsgroup my friend told me about. I've been using it for years. With this, can I continue using it?
 
Nobody is "cutting off" anything. It is simply a "warning and education" system from certain ISPs.

A website service provider doesn't own the copyright of things uploaded by members, so places like Yahoo and YouTube couldn't care less about CAS. They are already exempt under DMCA.

If you're committing copyright infringement, you are still potentially liable for lawsuits, whether or not they ever warn you, but it has nothing to do with CAS.
