ey guys, I was googleing for a solution, and that's how I get to here. Seem like a lot of you are very helpful! Here is my problem:

I bought a samsung p2450h and the back of it looks like this:

as you can see, it is the shiny Piano Red-Black kind of plastic. I find out there are some scratches on the back of the monitor on those shiny kind of plastic. Those scratches look very narrow, I cannot even see there is "deeper" at any angle. I think it is something because of the manufacturing process. I am working in Japan now and it is hard to return a product because of scratches over here, so I just have to deal with it myself.

Honestly I think I am very stupid. I am stupid enough to use Nail polish remover to see if I can clean up the scratches. The result is that area look kind of "cloud". The surface is still smooth, and still can reflect like a mirror, but there is like some white thing, or I can say cloud little bit under the surface. I guess a layer of the surface material has changed because of nail polish remover.

Then I am even more stupid to apply toothpaste to see if I can clean it up, and result is the same, some cloud looking thing form.

The scratches are still there, and the result is I just all more "clouds" looking things on it.

I search over internet and see people talking about using some "plastic polish" kind of solution can solve the problem. Does that work? Or it would make it worse?

I hope someone can help me out, this really make me feel sad for two days.
