...can't hear the door bell or cellphone? ringtone at all. Are human vioces in very different frequencies than door bell or cellphone ringtone? Are there door bell and ringtone that are close to the human voice frequencies? Can senior citizens buy door bells and choose cellphone ringtones that they can more likely to hear?
 
Normal doorbells and ring tones sound at a different frequency than a human voice. As for options, most phones come with a variety of different tones, you can file through them to find one that suits you. As for doorbells, you may want to go to a home improvement store (like Home Depot, Lowes, etc) and see what they have to offer. It should be easy enough to swap out the old bell-box for a new one, since they pretty much all operate at the same voltage.
