sony ericsson w302 problem?

Hi My dad just got me a sony ericsson w302 It's not brand new but it's from one of his friends. Any way it's on O2 and we put an o2 chip in. It said emergency calls only. We tried other O2 chips but that didn't work. Does anyone know how to stop that. It won't let anyone call me.
