We just got a new Sony Bravia EX5-46 inch tv. Once I got everything hooked up, I found that when I turn the tv off, it powers my directv receiver/DVR completely off also. (it does this with the power button on the remote and the tv side panel.) My old tv did not do this. Not only does it take the dvr about five minutes to boot back up (which is really annoying), it runs a self-check each time, which makes me worry for the welfare of the dvr. Does anyone know how to separate the power commands so I can turn the tv off but leave the dvr on? Thank you for your time.
