Sony Vaio Blu Ray Player?

I have just recently purchased a Sony Vaio laptop with a blu ray player. I have it hooked up to my 52 inch Samsung full 1080p tv. When playing a blu ray movie, what should my screen resolution be set to on my tv? What hertz should my tv be set to (it supports 120)? Lastly, should there be any particular setting on my laptop? I am just trying to get the best quality picture on my tv when watching blu ray through my laptop. Thanks for your help!!
