Specialized CrossRoads Sport bike repair?

the front forks of my bike have lost the shock absorber function The shocks are frozen sold or stuck....there is a small button near the bottom of the fork which voids the warranty if removed.. can I remove the button and recharge the shock function the bike is prob 5 years old
 
Doesn't work that way, sorry to say. Most years of that bike were equipped with a Suntour NEX-4010 fork, 63mm travel. These were made for OEM use only and not available to the general public.

They were coil spring shocks, not gas charged. I imagine that you never had the bike serviced, and it is my educated guess the forks are now trash.
