Speech Introduction Help!?

Im doing a 3 minute speech in my human communications (college) class. Im doing it on my recent vacation to new england. If someone can give me an idea or type up an intro with like an attention getter or a quick fact on new england. we went to nyc, boston, connecticut, rhode island. Thanks!

Are you going to make a point in this speech, or just recite a list of places you went and things you saw? Because if so, you're going to put your audience to sleep! Why do you think your classmates would find this trip interesting? Did you learn something? Are you going to try to persuade them to go there? Did it change your mind about anything you thought about these areas?
Or think of it this way- if one of your classmates was going to give a speech on a visit to Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, what would you be interested in hearing? Once you've figure out what point you're going to make, the opening sentence will be easy.
