Speling mistakes

ttamgirl,

lighten up... obviously much of this is in jest. If spelling correctly is hard for you that's a pity. You can make it easier by using an online dictionary such as www.dictionary.com - this can be put in your browser heading as an icon button and anytime you think you don't know/aren't sure how to spell a word you open it up in anothe page/tab and check.

I am sure there are other ways as well... I believe someone posted a spell checker above. Take advantage of things like that.

As for the way I spelled grammer I'd like to say I meant to do that.. but... lol... it just happened that way.

STJ, You do realize your own answer is rife with mistakes?? "You end up looking silly if YOUR" (should be you're)...

"Spelling "inccorrecty"" (should be incorrectly) and "arguement" should be "argument"....

I think you need to reconsider your own position there, my friend!!

I'm a university prof, so I admit spelling errors drive me mad. Unless English is your second language, the rules of the apostrophe and basic words should not be beyond you. It's not rocket science. The trouble is the internet reinforces bad spelling since people get used to seeing words spelled incorrectly. A simple spell checker (and an effort to learn from your mistakes) goes a long way.
