Spore Tribal Stage Ho do you select another trbe with the chethem to greet .?

I new to Spore and I just got to the Trebal stage and i just cant seem to select anoter Tribe to greet them:-? I just got to the Tribal stage Further More how tdo you stop the tribe form what they are doing like gathering foood one of my little creatures died., and i could.nd tell hem toattack the tribe that was attacking me. And also when i was being attacked again my little creature was running after the other creture he manged to kill hte other creature but he just kinda just stood ther and woulndt ome back , how do you tell one treperson to come back home
