Sprint Moto Q MiniSd card?

I recently got a sprint moto q phone with mini sd attachment. Well,I got a sandisk 2gb mini sd card off amazon. I tried it out on my computer and it was able to recognize it. But when I insert it into my phone and go to the memory manager it says unknown. Now I've tried everything imaginable. I formated the card on my computer,I took out the battery everything. I called tech support but they were useless. I uploaded a song to it to see if reading the card and not just updating the information. But the file was not able to be located. Does anyone know how to make this thing work? (the problem isnt with the type of card it is because I checked all the specs out before buying it)
